What Do We Do Now?

Time to get to work

First we need to downsize.
Sort, filter, sell, pack all of our belongings.
Sell the house we built 30 years ago.
Move.
Design a barn to house our remaining stuff while we're gone and incorporate an apartment upstairs to stay in for a few months until the boat is ready.
Build the barndominium.
Move.
Again.

Now, what do we need to live aboard?
Make a list.
And another.
And another.
Then make a list of lists.
It looks something like this:

  • Where to flag the boat

  • Boat Insurance

  • Medical Insurance abroad

  • Documents: licenses, boating resume, documents

Things To Do:

  • Start Blog

  • Build Medical/First Aid kit

  • Procure Vitamins/Supplements/Remedies

Now what?

  • Extra prescription eyeglasses/sunglasses

  • Hand Tools

  • Power Tools

  • Logbook

  • Portable Radio

  • Ditch Bag

  • Extension cords

  • Power strip

  • Cameras/GoPro/Drone/Chargers

  • Duffels

  • Cards/Cribbage Board/Kindle

Buy in Turkey:

  • Towels

  • Cookware

  • Galley Stuff

  • Cruising Guides

  • Boat Hook

  • Courtesy Flags

Purchase later:

  • Water maker

  • BBQ

  • Espresso maker

  • Blender

  • Deck Chairs/Inflatable dock

  • Snorkel gear

  • Wet Suits

  • SUP

And that is just the beginning....
